Head of Risk and Compliance

An independent Trust Company is looking to recruit a Head of Risk and Compliance to oversee risk management and compliance, to maintain and apply robust policies and procedures, and controls within the organisation.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this position is responsible for ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, assessing and mitigating risks, and providing guidance to the Compliance Team. As an A signatory, the role carries significant authority in decision-making related to risk and compliance matters.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining a comprehensive risk management framework.
• Preparing and filing regulatory reports.
• Establishing and enforcing robust compliance policies and procedures.
• Implementing mitigation measures approved by the Board
• Interpreting relevant legislation and ensuring full compliance.
• Conducting regular risk assessments and compliance reviews.
• Monitoring compliance within the Risk Management Framework.
• Providing guidance and support to senior management on risk and compliance matters.

The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices, whilst having strong leadership and management qualities, excellent analytical skills and have the ability to interpret relevant laws, regulations and standards effectively.
