Head of Training and Development

Our client is looking for a Head of Training and Development to join their team. The successful candidate will play an integral part in the career of a Sports Trader providing guidance and the necessary technical skills and training required to enhance their professional development. The Head of Trading and Development is also responsible for the Company's portfolio of minor sports and the efficient trading of a wide range of these sports, while adhering to risk guidelines.  

The ideal candidate must have:

  • A minimum of five years within the online gaming industry in a sports trading role, showing the capabilities to seamlessly trade several sports at once
  • Must have experience in a managerial/training role
  • Must have experience of trading on a variety of platforms, including betting exchanges and managing sportsbooks
  • Must have experience in trading Asian markets and deep understanding of market size and liquidity for a wide range of sports 
  • Must have an extensive cross-sectoral knowledge and experience of the online gambling industry
  • Must have a relevant Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience

The ideal candidate will also possess these key qualities:

  • Must be flexible as weekend, bank holiday and night work will be mandatory in this position
  • Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
  • Ability to lead a team and motivate each member to develop and improve
  • Strong commitment to providing a first-class service to partner platforms
  • The ability to work effectively to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working with multiple IT systems and programs
  • A passion for sports and the global betting markets
  • Exceptional numerical abilities and a head for figures, probability and percentages
  • Strong leadership skills and management experience
  • The position requires occasional travel to the offices of business partners, including to London (United Kingdom) and further afield
