Assistant Tax Manager

A financial services company is looking to recruit an Assistant Tax Manager, to join their tax team to provide direct support to the Tax Manager, Trust Administration teams and the directors.

Key duties:

  • Assisting with the overseeing and reviewing the tax compliance requirements of all UK tax related trust and company clients and the preparation of more complex work.
  • Compliance tasks include but are not limited to: UK income tax returns, forms 50(FS), inheritance tax accounts, P11D work, tax reporting to beneficiaries and P11D reporting, VAT Returns and ATED returns.
  • Assisting with overseeing and reviewing of the tax compliance requirements of all Guernsey tax related company clients. Compliance tasks include Guernsey Income Tax returns
  • Liaising with clients and their professional representatives either directly or via the Trust Administration teams as required on tax related matters.

The desirable candidate will hold a relevant professional qualification e.g. CIOT, ACA and ACCA, have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, have good numeracy and computer skills and have commercial awareness in relation to fees and cost to benefit ratios of work undertaken.
