Account Opening Assistant

Our client is seeking an Account Opening Assistant to join their team for 6 months from 28 October 2019, to support the Front Support Services team who deal with the on-boarding of client relationships.

Key Tasks:

  • Providing assistance on the end-to-end onboarding process 
  • Reviewing documentation in line with GFSC standards to ensure full Know your customer (KYC) and CFT standards are met
  • Ensuring appropriate prioritisation and visibility of accounts 
  • Liaising with Management and internal partners, such as Compliance and Legal to ensure consistent and compliant onboarding and process execution  
  • Assist with subject matter feedback on key onboarding topics, including (‘KYC’), CFT and AML

The desirable candidate will have the following skills:

  • Experience in AML / CTF and KYC, or related knowledge and experience, and a working knowledge of the Guernsey Financial Services "Handbook on Countering Financial Crime and Terrorist Financing”
  • Banking background and experience
  • Effective communication (both verbal and written), and the ability to influence your business partners
  • Diligent, disciplined and organized, you strive for high quality and complete documentation 
  • Ability to work with minimal direct supervision, and to excel while meeting tight deadlines with changing priorities
