Actuarial Analyst

A wealth management organisation is seeking a Actuarial Analyst, to support the actuarial function of the business and to assist the company in reaching its strategic targets.

The role holder will prepare base financial results for the group, internal and regulatory audiences including completing calculations, reviewing methods, assisting in drafting reports, and providing recommendations where appropriate.

They will also assist in the identification of risks, and the provision and explanation of reports based on analyses and investigations, so that risks are appropriately managed and mitigated, and assist in office experience analysis and the setting of actuarial assumptions.

The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and attributes:

  • Evidence of aptitude in passing actuarial exams towards the FIA qualification or equivalent
  • Awareness of business priorities and strategic plans.
  • Strong systems and computer skills including Excel, Prophet, Word, Access.
  • Typically, 1+ year actuarial work experience, preferably in life or group health insurance 
  • Able to analyse financial problems in detail and to identify critical issues, to work systematically and logically with a high degree of accuracy, to identify and propose solutions where appropriate.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
