The role of the Regulatory Operations and Risk Officer is a new role for our client, that has been created to address increasing regulatory pressure and the ongoing drive to manage and mitigate key risks.
The assistance to the Operational Risk Head will be primarily focussed on maintaining the risk event register and providing management information from that register. It will also involve assisting with the bi-monthly Operational Risk Committee, including preparing packs, minute taking and other administrative tasks.
The assistance with the Compliance Monitoring Programme will entail assisting compliance to monitor the effectiveness of internal control/operational functions and ensuring that those functions and processes are compliant with company’s policies and procedures. This will include sample testing and the drafting of findings reports as well as engaging with control owners to agree findings and remediation plans where relevant.
The desirable candidates will be self-motivated and driven individuals who are able to manage complexity and tight deadlines on a daily basis. They will also have strong organisation skills, a high attention to detail, good communication skills and must be seeking career growth.
