Personal Secretary

Our client is seeking a Personal Secretary to join their small family run office.

The role holder will undertake the following secretarial duties:

  • Checking and dealing with daily post
  • Keeping diaries up to date
  • Organising travel and dealing with airlines/ferry companies
  • Answering telephone 
  • Paying bills electronically and by cheque
  • Checking bank statements and filing
  • Updating addresses on database 
  • Keeping staff records up to date and paying staff wages (monthly)
  • Submitting Social Security quarterly payments on line and paying
  • Collating and submitting information on companies to Accountants and liaising
  • Preparing Minutes
  • Ordering stationery and filing

The desirable candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, have a knowledge of Guernsey employment regulations and tax collection procedures, have excellent it skills and have previous experience ideally in a bank, lawyers, building society or similar office environment. 

Working hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9:00am-1:00pm.
