A private banking corporation is seeking a Head of Legal to provide legal advice and support.
Key role requirements:
- Supporting the Senior Management on legal risk management, including the impacts of legal/regulatory change and legal risk matters as they arise ensuring good corporate governance.
- Advising on the interpretation and application of Guernsey law and regulation, including preparing legal contractual documentation, analysing, and monitoring for specific legal and regulatory developments.
- Ensuring that the Guernsey legal and regulatory framework is fully understood and that the highest professional and personal standards are adhered to.
- Cultivating mutual respect, understanding and sustaining relationships with stakeholders and the communities with which you will interact on a daily basis.
The desirable candidate will have a minimum of 8 years' post qualification experience, preferably as an inhouse counsel or legal department of a law firm or financial institution.
