Customer Services Accounts Administrator

An insurance company is looking to recruit someone with previous bookkeeping experience to join their Customer Services team, as a Customer Services Accounts Administrator. The role holder will perform the daily administration tasks in an accurate and timely manner, meeting month-end deadlines. They will also be responsible for selected broker/agent accounts and deal with all queries promptly and efficiently. 

Key duties:

  • Deal with internal and external customers ensuring broker accounts/DAS schemes are reconciled 
  • Ensure payments are received by month end and that accounts are allocated correctly
  • Input and reconcile all monies received
  • Administer the daily banking duties, including banking cheques/cash, printing Claims cheques, telegraphic transfers, direct debits
  • Reconcile inward/outward bank accounts and reconcile claims accounts
  • Cover collect direct
  • Assist underwriters in various administrative duties when required
  • Responsible for auditing and issuing motor cover note
  • Responsible for recording internal and external archiving

The desirable candidate will have 5 GCSE Grade C or above including English and Mathematics, high level of accuracy and numeracy and have good telephone etiquette, face to face and written.
