Can you take the initiative and are you a solution-oriented thinker who is approachable to all levels of staff? A growing compliance company is requiring a competent and knowledgeable team member to fulfil their Company Secretary role.

The Company Secretary will advise and support the board on corporate law, finance, governance, strategy, and corporate secretarial practices, ensuring good information flows within the board, committees and between senior management and non-executive directors. The Company Secretary will facilitate inductions, and assist with professional development, across various jurisdictions as required. 

Duties Include:

  • Acting as a point of contact, building, and maintaining good relationships with shareholders across a range of jurisdictions.
  • Keeping the board informed on shareholders views and liaising with external regulators and advisers, such as lawyers and auditors.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day administration of the company, organising board meetings, and preparing agendas and taking minutes.
  • Monitoring and actioning changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment.
  • Developing and overseeing the systems that ensure that the company complies with all applicable codes,
  • Responsibility for the administration and management of the company’s pension as principal officer, trustee, or chairperson.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in finance, management or law, and previous experience in corporate governance and law.
