Administrator - Securities Operations

A financial services group is looking to recruit an Administrator Securities Operations, to report directly to the Operations Manager. The role holder will be responsible for ensuring all securities, position recording, and settlements are processed in a timely and accurate manner maintaining a clear audit trail for reconciliations.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Sourcing, collating, checking and uploading customer notifications to the Company’s online service centre
  • Maintaining client records and customer database
  • Reconciliation of securities and cash positions as required across client accounts
  • Supporting the calculation of portfolio performance data
  • Preparing quantitative data pertinent to the investment processes being employed
  • To assist with the preparation of quarterly client letters and valuations, ensuring that they are processed on a timely and accurate basis
  • Completing client call-backs and security calls where required 
  • Assisting the Team Leader with any ad-hoc project work as and when required 
  • Monitoring and preparing responses to all customer email queries

The desirable candidate will have the following:

  • Banking, Fund Administration and or Custody experience
  • Minimum GCSE Maths and English
  • Well organised and ability to plan own work and meet deadlines set
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Good Communication and proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Numerate, strong Microsoft Excel Skills with excellent attention to detail and proven accuracy
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to use initiative and contribute to the enhancement of processes & procedures to maximise efficiencies
