Temp work - Calling all Students and Graduates

Do you find yourself floating around with nothing to do when it comes to Easter, Summer or Christmas breaks from University? You’ve seen your friends, relaxed and now you are hoping to fill your spare time with earning some extra cash? Perhaps, you have recently finished University and are looking for a good way to dive into your career and get stuck in.

If you are a Student, temping can be a really great way to earn money, whilst gaining invaluable experience in various fields. Temping helps you to build up your work experience and confidence, so that when you finish School or University, hopefully, the world of work is much less intimidating. Having this experience can put you a step above another candidate and on occasion, students who have temped with a company throughout School or University, have been offered an amazing permanent position after they complete their education. We recommend that when looking for temp work in School or University breaks, you look relatively far in advance, as great opportunities get snapped up very fast! If you wish to register with us but are currently off-Island, do not fear. As long as you have a valid right to work and the ability to obtain a Basic Police Disclosure once on Island, we can register you over the phone and help kickstart your career today.

Now, what if you are a Graduate? Many Graduates find themselves feeling panicked and confused, as the dreaded question ‘What are you going to do after University?’ looms, intensifying the pressure to find a good job in a limited amount of time. Advantageously, the fast-paced nature of temping means that new opportunities pop up often and may need to be filled quickly, especially when employers urgently need a temp to fill a role that helps the business tick over. In fact, some of our previous candidates have been placed in a suitable role, in less than a day. A great thing about many temping roles is that they usually consist of general administration and this sort of work can be a great way to learn new fundamental skills, enabling you to get your foot in the door and prove yourself. As previously mentioned, Graduates can also look at temping as a way to build on their experience in a plethora of areas, gaining a chance to further their career. Temping is not only a brilliant way for students to earn some money; Graduates can get paid whilst looking for a permanent role.
