Work Experience

Situations had a lovely work experience student from Guernsey College of Further Education join us this week. See below how she got on.

“From the 26 April to 29 April I spent the week at Situations Recruitment for work experience.  Over the 4 days that I spent here I watched what working life was like here at Situations on a day to day basis.
All the staff at Situations were very welcoming on my first day and that continued all throughout the week.  They were all very friendly, I never felt out of place or left out and I always had something to do, I was never left on my own, and always asked me for refreshments such as tea, coffee and water which made me feel a part of the team.
I worked alongside each of the workers to see what they do at their jobs and I watched them do different things such as how they send emails and how they help their candidates. I also filed and scanned and typed up some CVs over the few days I was here for. Near the end of the week I even had the chance to write up my own CV which was very exciting to do.
Each day I learnt something different and my time here has been very welcoming and interesting. It has given me the chance to see what working in an office environment is like and I am glad I chose to come to Situations for my Work experience.” -  Havannah Castro
