Human Resources maternity cover

An experienced HR person is required to cover maternity leave from 1 August 2012 to 1 February 2013 within a commercial company. It would be helpful if the person is available a few days beforehand part-time for a handover.

Hours are 37.5 per week with occasional overtime needed.

The roleholder will cover:

overseeing staff accommodation
disputes
disciplinary
payroll.

There is off island travel once a month.

A successful commercial company is seeking someone to head up a small team, which is responsible for producing group consolidated financial statements and the ongoing review of accounting records for group companies. The team is also involved with maintaining the finance part of the Intranet, reviewing accounting standards and updating procedures and ensuring the year end audit process runs smoothly.

Candidates should be ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified with previous team management experience and be skilled in investigating technical accounting issues and reporting their findings.

Financial Controller – International

A prestigious commercial company has a vacancy for a candidate to take responsibility for the integrity of accounting for a portfolio of companies, including but not limited to preparation of monthly reporting packs for each individual entity covering profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flows. Deviations to budget will also be identified. The individual will also be responsible for the development and management of the team.

Candidates should be CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified with post qualification experience, people management experience and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, with a solid understanding of the principles of and practical experience of preparation of group and company accounts prepared under UK GAAP.

Book-keeper/Receptionist

The role within this out-of-town retail outlet is to provide the MD with monthly reports on the company’s accounts using QuickBooks, processing invoices and chasing outstanding accounts. The roleholder will be based in reception where he/she will cover incoming calls and look after customers.

Working hours are 7 on Tuesday and Thursday and 5 on a Saturday, totalling 19 hours per week.

Candidates should have an excellent knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel (intermediate level) and Word plus strong multi-tasking and excellent communication skills. A book-keeping qualification is preferred but not essential.

Typist

A medical organisation is seeking a competent, fast typist able to work afternoons only from 1.15/1.30 p.m. to 5/6 p.m. (hours to be decided).

The typist is required to type occupational health reports comprising a mix of audio and copy typing. Some knowledge of medical terminology would be advantageous and computer literacy is required to use the in-house medical computer system.
