A leading provider of offshore legal and fiduciary services is seeking a qualified lawyer to be a Legal Associate/Senior Associate for its Business and Trust Law Group. The successful candidate will provide technically sound legal advice on a range of issues, whilst building and maintaining productive working relationships with clients and intermediaries and will have a minimum of 2 years’ post qualification legal experience, ideally in the area of finance funds, corporate or trust law.

Legal Counsel

This is an interesting part-time role (3 days per week or equivalent), for a qualified lawyer with at least 2 years’ post qualification professional experience in the finance industry and up-to-date knowledge of applicable Guernsey law and regulation.

The successful candidate will provide legal support guidance and advice to group companies in relation to the provision of fund administration, custody and related services to Guernsey and non-Guernsey investment funds.

Due to the new Guernsey inheritance law coming into effect, a law firm wishes to take on an additional member of staff. The role will entail:

Drafting and amending wills
Meeting clients, taking instructions and briefing them
Researching relevant laws and gaining necessary background knowledge.
