A financial services company has a vacancy for someone to support the Group Head of IT until the end of 2012. Although this role sits within the IT function, it is not a technical IT role.

Candidates should have typing skills with advanced Word and Powerpoint and a reasonable working knowledge of Excel plus a good working knowledge of Visio. They should be good communicators with analytical and report writing skills.

This role may suit someone from a marketing/sales office support, junior project management/programme management, general admin. or PA background.

It is envisaged that the role could be performed in 30 hours per week.

Senior IT Engineer

A telecommunications company is seeking someone with proven IT technical knowledge for this interesting position.

Principal accountabilities are:

ensure high availability of all IT systems for staff
operation, maintenance, upgrade and management of all servers
assist with management of IT Helpdesk and call logging system
assist with performance, growth and budgeting information
undertake supervision of other team members, contractors etc.

There will be a requirement for some off island working.

Candidates will be expected to attain and maintain a specified professional qualification. A high level qualification in computer science or related field is desirable but not essential. A minimum of 3 years working with medium or large IT installation is required.

Previous accounting system development or implementation experience
Previous experience of Private Equity systems, Investran, Equitrack, eFront etc.
Bookkeeping and accountancy knowledge

Developer Applications Configuration Consultants

The roleholders will be responsible for the identification, analysis, documentation, development, implementation and maintenance of the operating systems.

Information Systems Developer

An Information Systems Team requires a motivated person to fill the role of Information Systems Developer. This person will assist the small team in the design, coding, testing, documentation and implementation of business solutions throughout their Guernsey, Jersey and Isle of Man offices.

Ideally the candidate will be experienced in developing web applications and accessing a database back end but training will be provided. The role will involve extensive use of Microsoft Visual Studio, ASP.NET and SQL Server 2008. Knowledge of Python, JavaScript and classic ASP would be an advantage but is not essential.

A 2 year contract is offered.
