Human Resources maternity cover

An experienced HR person is required to cover maternity leave from 1 August 2012 to 1 February 2013 within a commercial company. It would be helpful if the person is available a few days beforehand part-time for a handover.

Hours are 37.5 per week with occasional overtime needed.

The roleholder will cover:

recruitment
overseeing staff accommodation
disputes
disciplinary
payroll.

There is off island travel once a month.

A successful commercial company is seeking an individual with significant experience of working in Human Resources. Experience of a retail environment is desirable.

The successful candidate will be the primary HR contact for customers in the marketing function, proactively bringing the HR strategy to life and acting as a change agent.

Specific accountabilities are in the following areas:

People strategy planning
Relationship management and business partnership
Operational delivery of HR plans
Coaching support
Project management

A prestigious life and pensions company has a vacancy to cover maternity leave from late April/early May 2012 to the end of January 2013.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years’ HR experience with international exposure an advantage, able to work on their own, excellent communication skills at all levels and a flexible approach to work.

The role covers general administration duties together with building relationships with other offices, recruitment and selection and personal and team development.

No payroll duties are included in this role.
