A Banking Group is seeking a candidate, who is able to produce high quality work under demanding circumstances and preferably holds an AIC (regulation part) or similar qualification, with experience in a compliance environment (preferably trusts, funds and investments).

The roleholder will work with the Senior Compliance Officer. Responsibilities will include the following areas:

compliance monitoring including AML
regulatory and group reporting requirements
relationship development with client RMs and other staff
compliance registers
risk rating and KYC profiling
investment activity monitoring etc.

Private Banking Officer

A well-established Private Bank is seeking an individual ideally holding a Certificate in Securities or a Certificate in Derivatives/IAC/FPC/IMC for this role. Candidates will professionally service the needs of a client base, acting as the primary contact for certain client relationships and assist in the profitable development of those and new relationships. The role-holder will also support the private bankers in all other duties, including administration and transaction processing.

Duties will include:

co-ordination of drawdowns, distributions, financial reporting etc.
co-ordination of 3rd party invoice payments
maintenance of database
collation of due diligence and ongoing CDD held on investors
board reporting on activities of the fund structures
co-ordination of audit and K1 reporting process

The successful candidate will also provide support in areas such as corporate governance, co. sec. and finance.

A fund administration company has a vacancy for a candidate educated to A’level standard and preferably studying towards or willing to study for a professional qualification such as ICSA. The postholder should have a minimum of 3 years’ exposure in the financial services industry, preferably with some co.sec. experience.

The successful candidate will carry out a broad range of corporate secretarial duties such as co-ordination of quarterly and ad hoc board meetings; updating corporate records, preparing notices and resolutions, preparing statutory waivers etc. plus providing support to other staff members to ensure fund operation deadlines are met and assisting with billing and collection for the team’s portfolio.

Fund Accountant

An expanding fund administration/asset management company urgently requires a qualified or very near qualified Fund Accountant with quality fund accounting experience as well as financial control. The roleholder will effectively be head of finance in Guernsey and will undertake accounting for various group companies.

Experience in securities dealing accounts and company administration/company secretarial knowledge (including share issues) is required. Acufund system experience would be advantageous.

This is a stand-alone role but there may be some supervision of fund administrators in the future.
