People temp for many reasons, including filling in a gap whilst seeking permanent employment, to ease them back into the work place after some time off, to save up to go travelling, to earn money during University holidays or to try various roles to help you decide on a future career if you are uncertain. It can prove a real help to the organisation you are working for, either to cover a staff absence, to assist with a particular project or to undertake a brand new role while the company seek an additional permanent member of staff.
The benefits of temping include flexibility in working periods and sometimes in hours, gaining experience in various companies, learning new skills, often securing a higher pay rate than permanent work and a relatively short notice period in case you are planning to move away from the Island or try a different career in the future.

An 8 month contract is offered at this global financial services group.
The role is an operational processing one. The roleholder will receive trade instructions from clients and investment managers and, using an online system, ensure each of those instructions is executed appropriately and within deadlines.
This will include:
- preparing legal documentation for subscriptions and redemptions
- inputting payment transfer instructions
- receiving and resolving client queries
- monitoring exceptions and resolving
This role is deadline driven and the successful candidate will need to be a fast learner.

Our client, a financial services company, has a vacancy for a CDD Officer for a fixed term contract of approximately 6 months. The role will entail reviewing CDD and EDD documentation for accounts deemed to be high risk ensuring all internal and regulatory requirements for CDD and EDD documentation are met.
This will suit applicants with 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role. Good CDD and EDD experience is required with a very good understanding of regulatory procedures and the GFSC handbook. Computer systems knowledge is required in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Training will be given on in-house computer systems.
